About Us

Best Wine Purveyors is a unique and distinctive retail wine store.

Every product we offer has been hand-selected. We taste countless wines each year in order to identify the very best from each region, varietal and price point. We taste the bad wines so you don't have to! We are not about the most wine...just the best wine.

First-time guests immediately comment on how the store doesn't look or feel like other wine stores.

We offer an unparalleled, attentive customer service experience in an inviting club or drawing room-like setting. The store is elegant and spacious with a relaxed atmosphere. We are here to help you.

We are focused on educating you, our customer. We wish to not only meet your needs but also expand your taste awareness and wine knowledge.

You can sample eight wines for free each and every day at our Tasting Bar. We also present weekly educational wine seminars to further develop your wine knowledge (see our Events page).

We are passionate, knowledgeable industry professionals, with decades of wine and food experience, and have earned certificates from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.

We offer our customers a combined seventy-five plus years of wine and food knowledge. Let us change the way you experience and buy wine!

TESTIMONIALS

Super nice store. Super knowledgeable folks. Always eager to help and will take as much time as you need to find exactly what you're looking for. Employee suggestions are always spot on because they not only listen, but get to know their customers on a first name basis... I couldn't be happier with Best Wine Purveyors and always look forward to my next visit.   - James G., Thornwood

The owner, Thierry, and his staff are both approachable and very knowledgeable. Thierry is able to tell you all about any particular wine but in a down-to-earth way that anyone can relate to. They carry wines from all regions and at a range of prices and are always willing to point out the wines they think are an exceptional value. Also, the free tastings on Friday nights are always superb.  Definitely check this place out both if you're a seasoned oenophile or if you're new to drinking wine and want to learn more!   - Karen C., White Plains
